Cedar Ridge Elder Services is a locally owned Community Based Residential
Facility(CBRF) first established in the Wausau area in 1996. The business started with
one building and currently includes 3 in Weston and
one in Mosinee. We are licensed by the state in all 4 buildings.
Since it’s conception, the business includes 3 separate owners with current
owners, Paula and Marty Robazek, purchasing the business June 1, 2006. Our staff does
include 3 nurses and a social worker and software engineer .
All
of our buildings are designed in a circular fashion with resident rooms being around the outside
perimeter and the kitchen, restrooms and laundry facilities in the center.
Buildings 1 and 2 in Weston share a beautiful courtyard that is heavily used in warm weather.
The other 2 each have their own courtyard. All buildings are air-conditioned with
phone and TV connection in all rooms. There are also TVs in the common areas.
Each building contains a small aviary and aquarium.
All houses contain
a resident monitoring system that will signal wanderers leaving the building. In
addition, buildings 1 and 2 have a keyed main entry for the safety of the residents.
Currently we employ approximately 50 employees with 7 to 12 people actively working
depending upon the shift. The number of residents may vary with 50 being at
capacity.
Paula is a LPN and has worked in assisted living for over 25
years. Marty worked in IT at Liberty Mutual for 29 years. Patricia
Milbeck is a social worker who serves as the director of staffing operations – she has 20
years experience. Both Paula and Patty are certified trainers and do most of the
training for the Cedar Ridge staff and some other local workers.
Cedar
Ridge prides itself in the ability to handle a wide variety of behaviors including alzheimers and
dementia. We also maintain a lower than average staff turnover.
